If you live in California and are interested in owning a Springerdoodle, then knowing what puppy breeders to choose from is important. We perfectly understand why you would want to own this breed. They have so much love to give, and they have such a cute look about them that it’s easy to fall in love.
But we implore you to take some care over choosing a breeder. If you simply choose the first one you see, then it has the potential to lead to a number of problems. Puppy farms are real, and we want to make sure you avoid being caught up in one.
So our aim is to not only provide you with details on breeders you may wish to contact, but also guide you on how to select the right breeder. But first, we should explore why you may want to go ahead and own this breed in the first place.
Why a Springerdoodle?
A Springerdoodle is cute, and there’s no getting away from that fact. However, that’s not the only reason why you may want to go ahead and own this particular breed.
Instead, we want to talk about their temperament. It’s amazing, and it’s perhaps one of the best attributes of this breed. Actually, we see their temperament as being a key reason why you should consider owning the breed.
One of the main things about the Springerdoodle is their desire to put a smile on your face, and make sure you love them. They want to please you and will try anything they can to achieve this.
Also, they do tend to have a fantastic outlook on life. They long to be at the heart of everything going on, and even though it could annoy, there’s something rather cute about it all. Also, you will get used to it rather quickly.
In addition, if you have young children around the home, then you have nothing to worry about with a Springerdoodle. They have such a calm and placid nature that your children can play safely around them without any problems.
However, even though the Springerdoodle is an amazing dog, you still need to know where to get a puppy.

But First, An Issue
At this moment in time, it’s tough finding a breeder for Springerdoodles in California. So, those in the list may exist out of State, but they do deliver Springerdoodles to people in California.
That is where doing your due diligence will prove helpful. However, we will have more about that later on.
Do be aware that not every breeder in the country will ship out of State. It does involve some work, and they will always strive to put the health and safety of the puppy first. In saying that, the breeders below will work with you, and they meet various criteria to ensure the puppy is healthy after shipping.
But if you are concerned, then do check with them first regarding this entire process.
Sand Hollow Doodles
First, we have Sand Hollow Doodles, and even though they are based in Idaho, they will shop your Springerdoodle to you in California.
This is a real love affair with the breed. Their puppies are reared with acres of space to run around in, but as it’s more of a family business it does mean they provide more than adequate attention to each and every dog.
They focus primarily on fantastic socialization skills for each puppy, and that does mean they should have no issues when it comes to you taking them home. Also, every single dog is checked thoroughly for health issues, and they are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
This breeder has been involved in Springerdoodles for a number of years. This experience is excellent, and they have built a strong reputation for themselves within the breed. However, you may encounter a waiting list as their popularity outstrips the numbers they have available.

You can only access them via their Facebook page, but they are open to showing you the puppies and answering any questions you may have. They have a strong reputation for breeding strong, healthy Springerdoodles and you will also receive your health guarantee as well.
We do advise checking in with them to see about availability and provide them with details on where you live. It will make the entire shipping process so much easier as they always seek to ensure the puppy encounters as little stress as possible.

How to Choose a Breeder
When selecting any breeder for any dog, you must take time to ensure they have the correct background. After all, you must know if they have correctly reared and cared for the puppies.
Also, never simply opt for the first person you see. Instead, we want you to do some research into the breeders before handing over any money. After all, it’s not only in your best interests, but also those of the dog as well.
While there are not a huge number of Springerdoodle breeders out there, you do have several to choose from. However, we do stress it is always best to buy from an established breeder rather than anything else. It increases your chances of having a healthy puppy.
Look Into Their Background
The first thing we recommend is you take the time to look into the background of each breeder. The aim here is to find yourself in a position whereby you know their history with the breed, and also as a breeder. You may want to learn if they have previously been involved in other breeds prior to the Springerdoodle.
In addition, check if they have any affiliations with organizations. This will boost your confidence in them, and understand it needn’t always lead to a link to the AKC. However, knowing they have this backing in the industry can certainly ease any fears you have of them as a breeder.
By simply knowing if they love the breed and do it thanks to this can also calm any nerves you have about the breeder.
Can You See the Puppies?
We always want you to see the puppies before you buy one. This should always happen, but if you buy out of state, then it will lead to its own set of problems. However, a good breeder should make it happen no matter the issues.
The key here is to learn more about the puppy before you buy. The best approach is to go there physically, but that’s not always possible. So, when that’s the case, it takes the breeder to work with you.
With this, a breeder may even suggest using Zoom to allow you to see the puppy in question. This also allows you to see the parents, and if you cannot get there physically, then this is what we suggest. However, it may also include seeing videos and images if Zoom is not an option.
Keep in mind that this is your right to see your puppy before buying. Do not pass up the opportunity at any point.
Their Health Guarantee
Finally, you must focus on the health of your puppy, and this is where the breeder can play a major role in helping you out. A good breeder will offer information regarding health checks carried out on the puppy by a vet.
These checks should also include genetic testing. That allows you to see your puppy is free from certain health issues that can pass through the family line.
Also, you should have a health guarantee provided to you. But this can come with a problem.
The problem is often that some breeders will provide you with only a very small window to have the puppy checked by your own vet. Some may offer as little as 48 hours, and that’s not enough. Unfortunately, they will then state the guarantee is null and void.
Please do check the small print to ensure you are not caught out in this manner.
Also, do ask any questions you want about the health of the puppy. A breeder should have no issue in answering them. It also shows them you are a sensible owner and will care for the puppy.
Overall, the most important thing is to never simply buy the first puppy you see. Instead, you must carry out your research and do your due diligence. This will involve checking out both the puppy and breeder.
Only buy when you are happy with everything. Keep in mind different breeders do exist, and you are not restricted to only using the first one you see. However, understand there may include a waiting period, but it will all be worth it in the end.
